The reliability is my primary concern.
That and how heaven have you run them.
Towing and loaded up.
If I spend that kinda cash it ha to work and be there every day

Other than the turbo on the one (which was 100% warranty) we have not had any issues. They get abused way more than the average person is going to do. On average they see about 200 miles a day with 10-20 of that being rough dirt roads and multiple hours idling. Trailers are pulled everyday ranging from 30' goosenecks to 14' flatbeds with payloads from 3,000 to 15,000 lbs most of the time. You won't be disappointed with them.

We also have a 6.4 and 2 7.3's. These trucks run circles around them. I've also ran 6.7 & 5.9 rams.

I hear a lot of different things from people but I don't know if it's true or just loud haters
Ive drove a 7.3,6.0, and a 5.9 Cummins and it's definitely an upgrade but from a pulling standpoint I wouldn't know I've just drove them but it definitely had more get up and go then all of them.

Until you start getting over 12k or so it is hard to tell anything is back there. Even then you can at the cruise on 70 and it doesn't struggle.

How come such a big truck? I think at that point it offers a Cummins with them but I think you can still get a powerstroke with the 550.

I'm gonna venture into some heavy scrapping and timber hauling. The 550 is still the pickup sized trucks. Your thinking of the 650/750 that offered the cummins but that's not the case anymore

I drive two f550 6.7's all the time at work and they have been great so far and we haven't had a problem yet with the truck (we have had several problems with the dump bed on the truck but it's a local company for the beds)

Actually it's 2,293lbs plus the the tank, plus the two tool boxes that are in front of the tank. The suspension is completely compressed and riding on the bump stops.
I only haul it 1/4 mile to water my dogs.

But a couple months ago I had a pallet of cement pavers in it. Over 3,000 pounds and I drove 40+ miles home. I remembered to take a picture when it was about 1/2 way unloaded.
