Yeah I run solar and a 12V indel b fridge. More info in my build or ask. Loving the revitalizing of this thread. Great looking trucks.

Also loving the expedition portal decal.

Did you salvage the zipper door from a tent? How did you attach it to the truck?

Anyone ever had a problem with the vinyls on the bottom of the door sticking to the tailgate? Ever since I replaced the vinyl it stick so bad that it's taken the duplicolor bedliner off the tailgate and is almost impossible to open the door...

Like the rubber seal? I'd swap it out with some standard weather stripping if its taking your bed liner off.

salvaged the whole thing from an old tent I found on the side of the highway. Sewed Velcro around the edges and attached Velcro to the perimeter of the shell and bed.

. Mine doesn't stick but has worn the paint off where it hits. I put non skid tape from Home Depot on that part of my tailgate

Sweet setup Tyler, how does the whole system with the fridge, solar and deep cycles. When I had my camper the mini fridge only lasted like 24 hour on a full charge but that sucker used like 140w.

Uses about 2.5 amps an hour. If I get great sun I can get about 6.8 amps an hour with the panel. Also my aux lights are LEDs drawing less than an amp on the back ones and about 1.6 amps on the side lights. I can go almost indefinatly. Actually over the 4th of July I accidentally had the setting too low and froze stuff in 95 degree weather. I ran my radio a fan and my fridge at 32 deg for 16 hrs and when I left I was sitting at 12.87 volts

Nice rig up there dude.

That's really good, Id really like to build something custom for the fridge and have it behind the passenger seat like a permanent option, I have a peltier device I been really interested to use for a while but the temp calibration is my issue with the system being 12v and not being an expert in electric/electronic hehe.

Well if your not on expedition portal yet, then make an account. I think for the first 3 months I just read stuff. There are a lot of sharp individuals on there that know their stuff. The biggest thing with 12v systems is conservation and right along with that comes the correct equipment. For instance using an inverter to power a 120v appliance with the engine off is never a solid system. Keep your components 12v and keep track of the amp draw per component. Simply upgrading your battery will make a difference. I know for my set up, ditching the regular 35w and 55w aux lights for 10w and 18w LEDs made a world of difference.

Edit: Also I'm not even close to an expert on this stuff. A lot of it is just learning as you go. I like to set stuff up to my needs to do my hobbies. Haha if I tried to be an expert in everything I do I'd look like an arrogant sob and wouldn't get anything else done.
