Re: Rangers With Camper Shells/Topper Thread
I meant the bluetooth cause I can just use my phone to select the tune while im in the back of the truck, how do you switch from one speaker to another tho. I mean I could use 2 toggle switch by speakers but it seem like alot of work if some device could simplify it Id be happy.
Actually just found these, fairly cheap on special like that.

Turns out The Source (canadian radio shack) had that guy on special for $10 so I went to grab one at lunch. Score.... Now I almost hope I dont get the car parts this week so I can work on that instead.

Only had a carpenter pencil to draw with. And I'd remove the front axle. Weld in some cross bracing. Then put jacks where the wheels went like trailers have.

No. And no it would look ridiculous. It would begin to fall into this category of no.

Well the original idea was to have a switch that would disconnect the remote out line from the radio, thereby shutting off my amp and sub in the cab, and connecting the standard speaker output wires. Then when it got time to actually plan it out I realized "Oh yea, there would be 4 wires to switch on".
Then I realized it would be 100x easier to just install a second head unit and 4 speakers in the bed. I'm also planning on installing a third fuse panel back there this summer so this works out for me pretty well. Going to make a weatherproof box of some sort and install the stereo, fuse panel, 12V outlet, and a USB outlet in it. Then I can ditch all of the 12ga power wires running from engine bay to bed, run a single 4ga from the battery to the fuse panel, and then hook all the rear accessories to the new fuse panel. The relays for those accessories would also move to the rear. Won't be able to do anything with it til June but the idea is there!

Re: Rangers With Camper Shells/Topper Thread
I was going to recycle my unused rear door speakers and get a cheap head unit to put back there, but I went looking at Marine receivers just for the heck of it and BOOM I think I'm going to go with this:
http://www.crutchfield.com/p_070MCP1....html?tp=61742
Or this one since it has an EQ:
http://www.crutchfield.com/p_104MC75....html?tp=61742
I don't need super great stereo quality for tailgating but I'd like to be able to make some adjustments. Right now in the cap I've got a pair of Philips portable speakers hardwired to the truck with a pair of old Sony stereo speakers wired in parallel and that sounds half decent.
