I do recommend LEDs though. My light was around $90 but it has different features. Check amazon.
i used a rope LED light , used an adhesive calk from low's for fiberglass, ran a bead of it... stuck the light in it used masking tape let it sit for 2 days and no problems for over a year. LOW POWER DRAW TOO

yes. i have them wired to my federal signal 6 switch box in the cab.
But any switch would work. If i did not have the switch box, i was going to wire them into my dome light in the cab, so when it was on they where on.

Also make sure to make a disconnect if and when you need to take the topper off.

Since I plan on using mine for camping is there any way I could use two switches on in my bed and one in my truck to turn them on?

you would need what is called a 3 way switch
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Lot-of-2-12-...5df006&vxp=mtr

i think that should work. one switch in the cab, one in the rear....

----------

or http://www.ebay.com/itm/12-Volt-3-wa...-/251481497337

i would email the buyer to make sure it will work. just like wiring a 3 way switch in A house

That diagram shows how to wire up the power side of the circuit. The ground comes directly off of your light and runs to wherever you want to ground it, whether it's a body screw, tapped into another ground wire, or you run another wire back to the battery.

This is where I learned that I wanted one lol

----------

Or could I just wire up a disconnect to the light and have a switch in the bed then when I need the cab switch just switch it over to another connect?

Using the "3-way" switch is the simplest way to wire up 2 switches to turn the same light on/off. All you need are 2 SPDT switches and wire them up as shown in the above diagram. This will allow you to turn the light on/off with the same switch, or you can turn it ON in the bed and then OFF with the cab switch (and vice-versa). It operates the same as a hallway light switch in your house.

Ok, great. That makes sense.

Like this?

19" TV and a PS2 slim. It folded up and spun 360* so I could watch it inside the bed or tailgating. The mount is still there but I gave the TV to my friend. Figured she could use it more in her house than I could in my truck
