Has anyone put a roof rack on a cap that has a raised roof?

i have been looking for a set up that would work, but did't know if anyone had done it yet and could offer suggestions. I love the raised roof lots of room to move once inside...

Just find some cross bars that sit above the rise and you should be good. I have a rail grabber system the sits pretty low but I also installed yakima t towers also because they sit above everything else and they don't interfere with my bike rack. I use it for my canoe only basically so I keep the rail grabbers on at all time. T towers are pretty tall. Anyway something like that should work. It's going to get kinda talk though. Just a thought. Also you could always install the rack on your cab and then the basket on that. A few guys have done that on here and it looks sharp. Here are a few shots of mine with the t towers.

Also on that shell you could probably mount the plate sideways on the side of the rise and the t towers would work there too. They are typically seen on a gutter mount for jeep Cherokees for example

I been looking for pictures with a ranger with the snug top pro, but couldn't find none. So here you guys go!

The canopy is a snug pro with driver side too box. I will be putting a rack on top! Canopy can hold 500 pounds on top.

this summer I plan on installing a explorer roof rack and build a low profile rack that hangs over the part where it slopes down in front for a 40" led bar

Found this thing rotting away in a friends driveway bout 3 months ago, hit it with the DA, primer, fresh white, clear, new seals, and loving it. Holds whatever junk I need to haul and keeps it dry! Good enough for FREE, boss had all the materials at the shop already, even got extra practice painting it

I wanted that set up so bad. I was going to have a toolbox set up on one side and a camp kitchen on the other for tailgating and camping. Looks great.

i looked into it at LEER, because I can replace my side windows with pop outs, but they said the couldn't attach the tool box because it requires an internal frame.

Thanks guys!

Ya, I got it for keeping my camping gear dry and locked up. Plan on going out hiking a lot more soon!

I was looking at leer too, but they didn't have anything that strong, they have the leer 100 rcc but it only holds 300 pounds on top. I plan on putting a rtt on top.(Roof top tent)

Yeah sounds like way too much work to attempt on a standard shell... lol, my idea was build a casket toolbox on roller tracks mounted inside my shell so I can slide it out to reach my tools. But that would pretty much take up all my space back there...

I have my boxes bolted to the inside bed rail above the fenders and while its solid, I wish it was easier to get to the toolboxes. Climbing in and out is a pain in the neck (and knees lol). I've been toying with a couple ideas for sliding out and I was thinking of mounting some drawer slides. One between the box and the bed rail 9where its currently bolted) and then another drawer slide mounted on its side, underneath the toolbox to hold the weight. Haven't attempted anything yet but its an idea lol. Even then it would only bring the box out as far as the tailgate, and I'm sure the gas struts would be in the way of the lid or something ugh

Lol, I started with memory foam and bean bags, ended up in my truck more than the house! Hah, plus every time I'd drink I would kill my battery listening to the radio. Couldn't learn my lesson so I fixed the problem, put the memory foam back on the bed! Lmao
