Ok lots of work done today but I'm happy with the results. Ok first off I relocated the speaker from the side of the bed to the ceiling of the shell, which is how the other speaker is.

image-2432855471.jpg

So this ^ is what it looked like. I put about $6 in into an outdoor outlet box with a blank faceplate and drilled the switches out as well as the AUX cord. I was going to drill and put the 12V outlet into the box as well but I found a cool one at autozone that mounts to the side. The box turned out absolutely awesome. The faceplate has a gasket on it so it seals up pretty tight. From top to bottom on the switches. Top: 12V outlet Middle: utility lights(now operational from cab and shell) bottom: camper shell lights(also operational from cab/shell.

Also there are three red LEDs on top of the box. These are tapped into the tail light power. So when the lights are on the LEDs are one. Gives me a good way to see exactly where the box is when it's dark. Mostly I had a bunch of lights and wanted to use some. Haha.

Alright next is the jerry can/EDC box. All I did was free up my good straps by making a new black one to use.

After

Alright next I had finally decided to remove the other jump seat and placed a metal rack on there.

Next I replaced the set up for my fist aid kit. I can't decide where I want it though. Also considered putting the other tool box on top of te sub. That's how I left it today.

I guess I didn't snap a picture of the first aid kit with the black strap. This is the tool box. Main reason I don't want the kit there is I try and keep it of the the sun as much as possible.

Also here is the speaker relocated

image-2774747489.jpg

Alright so that's it for today's work. A few things I'll be doing hopefully this week is relocating the fire extinguisher to where the speaker was and getting it off the ceiling. Also I have a light from a squad car coming. My buddy snatched it for me when they decommission the cars, it has white and red LEDs in it, but allows you to switch between the two.

Anyway that's all for now. Let me know what you guys think.

Sorry using the phone sucks to do this sometimes so looks like a bunch of pictures got tossed at the bottom :/

I'm still jealous of your flat fenders!! lol

And livelifechill when did you ditch the tool chest in your bed? it looks so empty in there now haha
Also that's a really big first aid kit; I have a small basic kit mounted to the rear wall of my cab and then the larger bandages and compresses in a pouch in my rear door but you've got like a duffel bag of stuff lol.

Put some shelves in the top of your cap, its amazing how much crap you can fit in such a small place! I wanna get a picture of my gear laid out next to my truck one day just to see how much is really in there..

I ditched the tool box last Halloween for a trunk or treat at church and never put it back in. Just got used to the extra space. Also I'm a paramedic student ad always been into the first aid gig, life guard wilderness first aid all that. That's mostly for me and my family not strangers. Haha my boyscouts get hurt a lot too

haha ohh so you actually use your kit. Most I use out of mine are regular band-aids when I get a cut working on my truck. Its nice having them in the cab tho because then I don't have to leave everything outside while I go in to get a Band-Aid. That's one of the main reasons I put so many tools in my truck...don't have to abandon everything out front to go in my house for a wrench

Yeah I mostly just like being prepared. I'm a borderline zombie apocalypse/end of the world/natural disaster person. Haha I just like being ready for almost anything. Plus it's fun, just tinkering with my truck. Gives me a good hobby and I've learned a lot as well.

On another note I scored that new cab light so I will be working on that a little bit today.

Craigslist is the way to go. Might be a little more difficult finding a stepside though.

Finally got one! I picked it up for $40 on craigslist! It's an older A.R.E. model. It definitely needs a bath, spray painted to match truck, and wrapped in camo!

good deal, looks great! i love the aluminum caps because they're so lightweight, makes it easy to take off.

Very easy to take off. Once I get to Florida and have a garage I plan to get a hoist for the garage so I can keep it off unless I need it.
