Re: Rangers With Camper Shells/Topper Thread
Ive got an Raider Nomad (older model) with a busted back glass. Any ideas from the DIY'ers out there? Thinking of going with an Acrylic replacement, just somethign to keep the rain out and not look too hillbilly. See pics on my profile.

Re: Rangers With Camper Shells/Topper Thread
Could use pklexi glass and silicone. I would check ebay for people giving away broken toppers or your local junk yard. I know that there are a few caps at mine that are busted up and they would let the back window go separate. Whatever you do make sure to post pictures.

The shell will live on, though. I gave it away on craigslist without the rear glass and quick fist mounts, so someone who's not as hard on it as me will be able to keep it alive a while longer.

I loved the way your truck looks with the camper shell though!

Edit: I'd like to put some lights in it, so I can see when I have the lid open. I'm debating back and forth about painting it white, though. If I did paint it, the sun glare would probably be worse, but it would match. I'm also thinking it would be cool to have an explorer rack on top, for bikes.

Paint it black. Maybe paint the lower part of the truck black to match. Rack would be cool on it too. I used led lights and a simple lock tight construction anheasive to secure them look in this thread above to see how it turned out it also has a link to where i purchased them

I use LED strips. They already have sticky tape on the back so you just slap them on there and run the wires. Pick them up at auto stores/walmart/online.
