Not a bad idea, however I would like to have a rear glass that opens and locks, otherwise i think it just kind of defeats the purpose lol

You could take the glass hinge it up then there's locks that go into a cap it should still have the metal where the latch goes behind and holds it shut. Just drill through the plexiglass and the lock bolts into itself to hold I in

That's actually not a bad idea, just probably use an actual rear glass lock and its work the same way, if that's what your saying

If you are worried about locking your cargo, make sure you get a tailgate lock. Even with the glass locked its possible to force the gate open, especially if you don't have the locking crossbars on the cap

Thanks bud. Yeah I was reading the reviews online for them and evidently they aren't worth shit unless you have a metal handle, which I have

I have the electronic Pop'n'Lock brand one. It works, but needs some 'fine tuning'. It's basically a sliding bar that prevents the scissor mechanism from opening, but its possible to yank the handle past the bar. I modified mine so that it isn't possible to force the scissor past the bar.

How did you modify it?

The bar is straight and flat, and the scissor mechanism has a small lip that catches the edge of the straight bar. If you yank hard, the lip will simply slide off the edge of the bar. So I bent my bar at the end to give more area for the lip to catch on

Finally found a shell off of Craigslist, $100 bucks. Color isn't perfect but contacted Leonard before I bought it and it's for a ranger so couldn't pass on it. My truck is Toreador Red, the camper is bright red. What do you think leave it or rattle can/plastidip it black? Also, anyone ever added a third brake light and interior lights to their cap that doesn't have any?
Thanks!

Make it a nice black. I re did my third brake light for my topper and stuff so I could probably help you out there. I would recommend lookin to see if you have a Radco truck accessories store somewhere near you, they were very helpful for me have a few brake lights and stud that I think would be able to fit most any topper with relative ease. Could probably even get Bugman to LED mod one for you haha, I know I want to
