Yes the ranger bed stayed the same size.

Just as long as you get the right bed style.

Got a new locking mechanism for my cap today. Though the main part not quiet long enough. The 2 sides latch but the middle part does not. Had to modify what I purchased. Drilled out where the rivets went to put in carriage bolts. Turned out well though.
Now I can lock the cap

I have a have an Adjustable OFFSET LATCH T HANDLE Single Point CAM, coming because the handle was not quite long enough for the center latch to be reused.
All total (besides hardware) was only $16.00

Thanks! The cap fits ok but I've realized it's not made for a ranger. My guess is it's for a Tacoma. Just found out this morning that it was made in 1988. It could be salt, could be oxidation. I can't remember if that pic was before or after I washed it. Those rims look horrible. All the clear coat is peeling off of them.

Went and looked at a different top today. This one was newer with more features and it fit a hell of a lot better. I got a really good deal on it, so I bought it.

The tent on it is so dark that it's a pain in the ass to back out of parking spaces whenever gets dark. So I pretty much only put it on when I need it, and take it off whenever I don't.
Usually if the forecast calls for a few straight days of rain I'll put it on. Or if I'm camping out somewhere i'll put it on

heh, it's more convenient to have it off most of the time. When you're hanging out with people, they tend to like sitting in the back of the truck. Doesn't work too well the shell.
Or you never know when you'll get a call at two in the morning from a friend asking you to haul stuff for him
