Think about going over a bump, the axle can travel backwards and over. Otherwise it would have to go forward and over. I could be wrong but I'm pretty sure it's right lol

ya ur right. puting the shackles in the front causes the axle to bend the way its not supposed to. shackles in the rear is the right way to do it, thats why jeeps are gay

Spot on right. It can have its down faults tho....say going over a big bump...yes, your shackle will go down and back like its supposed to...but what about the driveshaft? it only has so much play in it before it stops...
AWSOME job btw....went through an SAS myself and I couldnt believe it when it was done. My ride quality actually increased.

SAS is better for the following reasons:
1. Stronger, less joints and moving part = less weak points
2. installation of it automatically gives you lift to comfortably clear 36's
3. better articulation (as stated by the other forum user), but is much better with a coil over set up, unless you use Jeep YJ leaf springs (softer spring rate)
4. looks BA
5. its custom, making it even more BA! LOL!

for 4 wheeling purposes thos shackles up front are better because under compression your axle moves forward gaining ground and making it more stable along with approach or departure angles increasing.
im not a jeep guy but they do have some good things about them!
