Yea, you both suck

buggman hasn't answered my PM about doing some for me.

Sorry man,

I've been busier than a one legged man in a butt kicking contest lately.

I think the 9" oval you have is the same as the one I have, but I haven't had a chance to work on mine...other than stripping off the clear coating on top.

It's going to take some work, sanding off all the blue while maintaining the chrome on everything else or for that matter, sanding everything & masking/painting two different colors.

I've got 3 bezels, 4 wiring harnesses, a bunch of LED/fog switch mods, ovals and I don't remember what else going on all at once. I haven't had a chance to play-er-work on my truck in weeks

Thanks for the reply. The one on my grill is smaller because I got the older STX grill on it. Without measuring I'm guessing it to be 5in. The rear one doesn't have to be a 9in one. A 7 or 8 would work. Just needs to be big enough to cover the alignment pin holes.

Can you do them in DSG color??

I have a smoke gray...

I think it looks a little darker in person than the pics.

It's the ONLY darn gray paint I've been able to find around here

Your grill is probably a 4 3/4" wide overall, but lets get a measurement just to make sure.

I've got a couple 7" wide overall ovals that should be about ready for paint if you think that size would work. They'll have 3 big posts on the back for mounting/alignment, but they're easy enough to snip off.

Is that one black??

Yea, clipping the pins off the back wouldn't be hard.

Yup,
Black/Smoke Gray w/black painted bases.
The guy who bought those 2 also bought 2 more just like them.

I've just started offering a new optional process for painting the bases where I strip all of the original chrome off, down to the plastic, sand, prep & paint with fusion.
It adds about 2 to 6 hours to each oval & a little to what I need to ask for them, but I believe it'll hold up better against the paint chipping off the chrome from roadkill.

If you have a Napa store. Just give them any paint code & they will mix it & put it in an aresol can for about 8.00 a can.

I prefer the chrome better than the painted trim.
