The 10's have Advance Trac which works great IMO. It doesn't let you bury yourself but still allows you to spin the tires just enough when in mud, sand, etc.

Yeah, sad to see a nice truck go.. both are sweet trucks!

Didn't look like too much damage, bent rim, scraped bumper, out of alignment.

the steering rack was busted and parts were bent and broke all under there. They even said that the only way it would ever be right is if they shipped it back to the factory for repairs.

Yeah you can turn off the Advance Trac but you can't turn off the esc/rsc which seems to have it's own traction control because it still won't let you spin the wheels too much. The cool thing about Advance Trac though is that it doesn't just cut engine power. It uses the wheel speed sensors to figure out which wheel is spinning the fastest, which is the wheel with the least traction. It will apply some brake to the wheel that's spinning quicker so it sends more power to the slower spinning wheel which most likely will have the most traction of the two. I was disappointed at first when I found that I couldn't get a Ranger with a Limited Slip diff, but after going threw some pretty deep mud I'm glad I got the Advance Trac. It's kinda idiot proof, It won't let you sit there and bury yourself up to the frame but it still allows enough spin to keep your momentum up to get you through.
Sorry for the thread hijack 2010redfire. I'm sure you'll love your new Ranger, as you can from that Advance Trac brochure I just wrote I'm extremely happy with my 2010 Ranger.
