I used to use it on my Semi trucks aluminum wheels back when I was an owner / operator.

Thanks man, ill check into that! Well, since I was at it, I went ahead and polished my wheels too to make sure they stay nice and shiny. I thought they were pretty shiny already, but WOW what a difference the Powerball and polish did! I polished each wheel twice.

I do think im goiung to have to stop using my favorite tire cleaner Wesleys as it is making my wheels lose some of thier luster. Even after polishing, they still dont look like they did when brand new. Id like to get them even shiner than they are right now, any suggestions other than the sanding with fine grilt sand paper.

I googled "polishing aluminum wheels and found this on an s-10 forum (BOOOOOO). but i want to make my wheels shine like that!

http://www.s10forum.com/how_to_polish_aluminum_wheels

I just dont think it can be obtained using this method. I bet the Wesley's has already done too much, i dont know.

You should not wash your truck for one month and I think in that month you will be able to save money to buy a body lift and 33s instead of cleaning products lol

Yep! one of my pet peeves is having a dirty ass truck on a friday night when I take the lady out. I absolutly cannot stand it if I dont get to wash the truck on Friday and then we go out. During the winter is a different story, the truck stays pretty dirty, so it doesnt bother me

you can also use dry metal compounds, or if you don't want to go that aggressive, get some Wenol metal polish, it has a little more bite to it then metal polishes on the market, but lacks the super shine, so it needs to be followed up by some nice NXT metal polish and sealed....

I like this kit here:
http://www.eastwood.com/eastwood-buffing-kit.html
The buffing cones work well with drills as well (I generally use my air compressor for this), but the key with dry metal compounds, is heat. You have to work slowly (in a back and forth motion, not keeping the wheel spinning in one spot) and allow the some heat build up in order for the compound to work. Try practicing on scrap metal if you want. The worst case scenario that will happen is you will buff the wheel unevenly, having some parts more shiny then others.

again here's some valve covers I cleaned up (I didn't get too agreesive and only used the Jeweler's Rouge, followed up Meg's NXT metal polish)

you can also use blackfire metal polish:

http://www.properautocare.com/blmeposy.html

but I generally use this only on larger metal areas, like boats or campers, etc. For wheels and engine parts I like that eastwood kit.
