It just goes into the cowl a few inches and I cut it slanted down.

Has everything else been sealed to enable you to use this? It would kinda suck to be in four feet of water and have the truck stall because the electrical stuff shorted out.

No just extended breather tubes, the electrical stuff is pretty well sealed up and should be ok for short time exposure. I don't plan of driving through deep water. Just a little insurance incase there is a water hole I need to cross and don't know how deep it is ect.

Then what will get you is entering the water off a ledge where your nose has to dip down into the water but isn't that deep once the whole truck is in the water

soo. why exactly do people put snorkels on their trucks? I was thinking so they don't flood their engines..

correct, you want to be able to suck air in deeper water instead of sucking water into the engine. Then your done.

The flaw I have noticed is water coming in and going down the pipe. It needs a P-trap! LMAO or, drill some tiny holes in the bottom side of the PVC as to drain any water.

I don't play in 5 foot of water so I don't know. But that is why I downturned mine in the cowl, so it would have to be submerged above the hood to suck in water.
