Ya I was kinda shocked when I saw the guys DC-2 cracking around the center cap.

IMO Dick Cepek wheels suck. I use to like them a lot but I wont buy another set.

just pm STL, and he'll tell you all about it
Thanks dude. I'll keep an eye on it. I wonder if theres something I could do to prevent that from happening. I didn't know the DC-as had any problems like that. Wish I'd known.

thats just what happens when you screw into clearcoat. kinda stupid to make new wheels fixing the outside bolt problem only to do it with the centercaps

I wanted teh BFG A/T's but BFG ain't making them right now
different grille
black step bars
toolbox instead of the Edge rail caps
DC-2's
no grille guard....yet...I've always wanted one

Besides, in the body lift meet thread that showed them putting the lift on, one guy said he didn't have that truck anymore. And, he doesn't live around here so as far as people here know, mine's the only one like it.
I seriously hate seeing a truck that matches mine. I had purple lights in the grille on my old '90 Ranger for well over a year (years ago). I passed a truck one day with purple lights in his grille and reached down and turned mine off. Never turned em back on again.

But yeah we have the same color truck with the same tires and very similar rims...thats it. Thanks for pointing this out. Now I'm going to put 215's on and find some 25" gold rims to throw on the truck...pictures tomorrow.
haha you really do hate matching another truck...lol. i was complimenting it becasue it is one of my favorite trucks. but yeah he dont have it anymore, demodded and sold

Thing you can do to help prevent it. Get cleaner for clear coat rims
If they apply salt to the roads in winter wash every single day the rims

How difficult was it to do, and what all is there to do? I'm looking to do a body lift but need to plan it out so I know how long the truck will be down for.

Can be done in 4 hours with 5 people

8 hours by your self.

I'd make 2 solid days of being able to go without a truck where you can't rely on somebody to take you places. It kinda sucked knowing that I had to drive to work the next morning. We HAD to get it done once we started. We made it, but still the comfort level wasn't very high. Rain, power outage, missing parts, tool runs, etc all factored into making it a long day...it was 105 degrees that day too. That definitely slowed us down. It's 'easy' though (the concept is anyways). The hard part is the taking the bolts out. Only 2 1/2 gave us trouble. The half was the other cab corner. It was tough cause the bushing spun on it like the drivers side but it wasn't nearly as stubborn as the drivers side was. It was fun. And the result is great. Had a guy come up and smack me on the back at work today to get my attention. He was excited to tell me how good he thought it looked. It's worth it man.

I haven't done any beach runs yet. May head to Ocean City or VA Beach this weekend if the weather isnt good in SC. I happen to be going to SC this weekend for something else and will be stopping in Myrtle Beach if its nice there. If not, VA Beach or Ocean City it'll be.
