Do not want. I have a keyless brain and some actuators I plan on using, but power windows on the truck I have no interest in.

Gotta keep the business rolling.
Everything was going well until we got to the wheels and tires, then added the brake job. Finally got into some actual expenses.

My experience is the exact opposite. I've never seen a sport with carpet but have seen plenty of sports with vinyl floor. I don't claim to be some Ranger guru so being curious I looked at fordvehicles.com site it says the Ranger Sport comes standard with a vinyl floor.

Re: 6 months of picking parts out of junkyards
Mark has notoriously tried to stir the pot on my threads for whatever reason IDK who the heck he is, but he's guaranteed to try and start crap every time so I would probably ignore his trolling.
He's had to be deleted and edited from this thread 3 times: http://www.fordrangerforum.com/class...-one-free.html
He's just a troll. Sport comes standard with vinyl floors and solid rear glass, everything is of course optional you wish to add.
and moving on.............

Re: 6 months of picking parts out of junkyards
looks great!!! thats pretty much how mine came, mine has vinyl floors too factory!!!!! but mine had cloth seats and an actual "sport" badge on the tailgate (mines an 00), the 98-99 sports had a "Sport" badge on the sides of the bed at the rear right behind the tails, i love the painted bumpers and grille, dont forget the XLT mirrors too!!! i need to do my MOD list, i did the door panel swap as well.
i have to ask, why did you downgrade the wheels to 3rd gen deerhoves and old seats?? you should've gotten some expo seats at the J/Y and left the stock wheels cause the XLT's have those but chrome. just my .02, no hard feelings!!

I very specifically wanted the deerhoves, not a downgrade, but IMO an upgrade to a nice alloy and one I really like. Don't forget that in 1998 and partially the first month or two of 99 the new truck bodystyle DID come with the Deerhoves so it's actually the proper look for this model (98-01). Those deerhoves were a one year only special fit (larger bore), but they were on it I worked at the dealer doing PDI in 1997 and 98. Every other ranger we checked in had the deerhoves for the first 6 months or so, then it tapered off some but they still had them on.
I picked the seats that were most comfy. Most of the 12 or 13 rangers I have owned have been 95 to 97 and I like these style of seat.

Do you mean power mirrors? None of my XLT rangers have had power mirrors, those are generally found on the king cabs and I always run standard cab. Power mirrors, door locks, and windows were not standard on regular cab XLT rangers.

Re: 6 months of picking parts out of junkyards
well, you've done a great XLT swap, but i just think those flag mirrors look so cheap and flimsy, you can get the XLT/exploder mirrors in a manual, or just mount powers and dont hook up the wires and that would complete the upgraded look. and im sure you're right about the deer hooves but i've never seen them stock on a gen4 so coming from another ranger enthusiast they look old and out of place on that year.....just my .02, not trying to start anything over here.

Re: 6 months of picking parts out of junkyards
Looks REALLY Nice, Now if you could find a XLT inst. cluster. ( gauges, tach,) no one would ever know it was a XL. The new 2010,2011 XLTs come with painted bumpers anyways. Sharp little truck.

No such thing as an XLT cluster. Most 4 banger trucks don't get tach's and use that cluster no matter what trim level.
