But whatever, you know what they say. Arguing over the internet is like winning the special olympics.

Might sound a bit "Ranger-racist" but I only REALLY like 93-97's.

A pain? You have to walk up to the truck to get in it. What's hard about grabbing the cover as you walk by. I'm really curious because they literally just push on, pull off. After taking them off for 3 days I literally didn't slow down as I went past the front of the truck with my hand out.

I'm still amazed I never got a ticket with them.

What we see in those pics is a 1997 ranger bought on July 1st 1997 and those pics taken September 14th 1997. Though at the time it had barely evolved past colormatching everything and the vinyl, it was 2 months into a 6 month long project and in the end those covers won me several events since it was not common in 1997 to do them in body color. Most people stuck them on tinted and went on their way.

There are pics (or were) of the truck finished. They were sitting on the camera that was in the glovebox the day the truck was taken. I wish I had them, it was really nice in the end after 6 months of work. Dream beams, flip, roll pan, fiberglass cover with stripes down the middle..... Some nice 18's that were polished. Really miss that truck. Those covers really completed the truck though, I hated the headlights breaking up the flow.

Damn you guys are harsh LOL but cut this guy some slack. They are old pics things were different then. I am not a fan of some of the stuff on them but they are his trucks.

i'm digging both of them.. in 97 colormatched anything was unheard of and really cutting edge stuff. those of you that complain about the headlight covers must not have any experimental mods on your trucks.

in one1's defense, things were different back then from what they are now in respect of "whats cool" on cars and trucks. some stuck, some didnt. either way, i'm for the originality.

I bet you're a decade and a half late to that joke. First one to say it was the guy striping the truck. A lot of the things done to this truck set off several trends in the late 90's, I was very proud of it and it is period correct, like it or not.

There were a lot of little things most people couldn't enjoy in pictures, like the fact that half the people that have seen these pics couldn't tell there was a bug guard on the truck. The rear ford emblem was turned into a flowmaster emblem Bunch of fun stuff. Loved it.

Someof you would have had a nervous breakdown over loweriders in the early 90's.
