I didnt have springs, I figured I would spray everything, nothing will bind the moving parts underneath, i sprayed up to the brakes and left it, I have a project later for them anyway. Muffler was left alone

I used a grinder with a paint and rust stripping pad

You will need alot of these pads but its well worth it. Just remember strip the whole thing, clean everything with purple power (I used a scrubby sponge with it) and pressure wash the underneath. Let it dry then coat it. 3 coats will do a decent job.

Also anyone who does this wear long sleeves and good rubber gloves when using purple power, It burns the skin!
