Default 265/75R16 BFG on my stock '09 sport 4x4

So I got my tires fitted today and also got the t-bars cranked at the same time as per forum advice. I promised I'd post photos, so here are photos. Thanks for all the advice about tire fitment, I'm glad I listened to the forum peoples and not the idiot that works at my local tire shop.

Honestly I wasn't sure if I'd like the look, I thought it'd look stuffed, but actually it's not too bad. Kinda reminds me of how the Nissan Frontier looks. I'd still like it to sit a bit higher, but in the meantime I'm happy that it now looks like a proper truck.

Here's how it compares to the stupid undersized tires.

It not only looks better, it also handles better. It doesn't wheel spin or throw me into a slide anywhere near as easily now, despite the amount of snow on the ground here. Also for those of you who are considering doing this, there is ZERO rubbing with this size tire on the stock rim. Do not let people tell you otherwise. I think you would need to have some pretty serious sag to rub with this size tire on a totally stock truck.

Pre-08 torsion keys and add-a-leaf are going to be the next step. After that, I'm going to be doing the 3 inch body lift.

You should start a build thread post, you have one really nice truck btw. 👍

Thanks man, I will do a build thread soon. One thing that was lacking when I did my research was photos of the things I wanted to do with my own truck. The 31s on a stock height post 08 ranger was a complete unknown for me because all the photos I could find were the taller pre 08 model. So I hope my build can be of use to people who want to do the same with theirs.

I can't really benefit from the post 08 changes but it's sure nice to see a sweet looking Ranger coming to be 👍
