Default truck caught fire.

So these are the most recent pictures of the truck that I took yesterday morning when I was camping.

Just after i got my new wheels and brand new tires I was on my way back from my girlfriend's cousin's house about 2 hours ago and I noticed sparks coming out the back so I pulled over and then I saw the damn glow on the ground from the motor, opened it up and the bitch was on fire. I called 911 as soon as I lifted the hood because I didn't have a fire extinguisher and I was on the side of the road. But here are a few pics of the damage. The body is fine except for paint on the hood that bubbled up and fried.

Not too sure on where too even start. But I still don't even have it home yet because it was a good distance from my house and towing would just really dig into my already empty wallet. So I'm going to barrow my dad's boss's trailer tomorrow to go get it.

And what had caused it was my transfluid must have started to leak really bad and It could have flown back from driving and landed on the cat which must have made the fluid catch fire and then spread.

yeah a few trips to the junk yard probably. And then the hardest part will be doing all of the wiring over again. That's really the main issue.

yeah I don't have too much wiring experience but i know I'll get it done. Just looking at that motor makes me want to not even touch it. but I've got a pontiac to drive until I save up enough money to get everything I need paid for.

This isn't a matter of just fixing some wires. Entire wire harnesses have melted. You're going to need to head to a junk yard and see if you can pull some complete wire harnesses from an identical truck. Also pull the lost hoses and air intake tube.

O yes I know what I'm getting into. tomorrow when I get the truck back at my house and actually get to see it in the daylight i'll be able to get a list of everything needed.

luckily the only thing wrong with the body it the paint on the top side of the hood has burnt off everything else was fine. The fire department got there pretty quick tho and that fire was just starting to get really big really fast so i think it was at its peak of being salvagable or if it was another five minutes that truck would have been gone.
