2002 Ford Ranger XLT 4x4, ext. cab, Stepside, Auto, 4.0L v6

Saw this the other day. We have a festival here, with a parade and fireworks show, called Islandfest, and this 1971 Chevelle Malibu convertible was in it.

Restored, and had a proper four speed (white cue ball shifter, instead of the usual Hurst or Muncie T handle one).



I have to give them credit for not putting in a big block with manual that could handle that torque, putting on a cowl induction hood, SS badging and stripes, trying to pass it off as a genuine Chevelle SS.

This was my dream car in high school. 1971 Chevelle SS 454 LS6 four speed convertible, red with white top, interior and stripes.

Little did I know that was $$$$$.

Another one. Lavender metallic fiberglass body (yuck!), diamond plate fabricated add ons, bumper, tail light mesh, CJ8. Aftermarket steering wheel, foot print gas pedal and Hurst T handle 4 speed shifter.

I would drive the heck out of this, if it wasn't for the color.





More chrome bits than any off road vehicle should have.

I could not drive a pink vehicle. I won't even use my wifes auxiliary phone charger when my phone is dead because it is pink.

I almost thought that was a pic of my Dad's old 70 Malibu Conv. till I seen the 350 badges, as his was a 307 with 59k original miles on it when he sold it in 03 after Mom died.
