eh, for the first time doing it id say about a 5 out of 10. the hardest part was keeping the coupler and driver greased enough so they would stick together during the install. the directions that they included were pretty good. just took a few minutes to figure out the names of all the parts. about how long should i wait to put the diff fluid in so i can let the sealant dry first?

Default Update!

UPDATE: just got done testing the locker and holy shit do i love it! went to a local trail by myself. im not bragging about my truck but i was so impressed with what i was just doing in 2 wheel. had to give up a couple times and put her into 4 otherwise i would have been stuck and i was alone. i went through this valley of rock and dirt, full flex and my door was rubbing the side wall of the rocks, and i scratched my paint. kinda pissed btw i had fun! didnt have my camera when i was out, but took a couple when i got home

some of those might buff out if they arent too deep but my guess is you will need to paint it. if i had to guesstimate the cost to paint that, i would say it would be in the $500 range. of coarse that depends on the shop you take it too, it could be less, or way more. lol

lockers are amazing things. Auto-lockers like yours are a pain in the ass in a manual truck on the street though.

Not so much that... it's starting out and turning or parking lots.

lockers are a great thing, now your 4wd is a little closer to actually being 4wd!

What doesn't make sense is this talk of repainting a scratched door? You put a locker in something to go offroading...if you start repainting her after every bit of body damage you'll be broking in no time. Scratches are like scars, they may not be pretty but theres usually a damn good story to tell about them!
