The only GM vehicle I would drive is a Silverado/Sierra.

I've owned my GMC for ten years, my dad has had his 18 years, and before that a 78 that he owned since 1981, and was still around up to a few years ago, haven't seen it lately....I've also owned 15 or so other GM's. They all have had excellent running reliability, I've owned two Fords, that have cost me more then all my GM's. Most issues ever on my GM was my fault. You can talk crap about anything, I hate Honda's. But they run forever, but there are exceptions. So where do you get they are crap? Not to mention they are a larger world seller of vehicles then Ford, and the only one ahead of them currently is Toyota...so crap...I doubt it.

Work on any GM product, and I promise your view on it will change.

Lets see, on my sisters car...you have to un bolt and roll the engine to change spark plugs, stater is buried under the intakes, can't open the radiator without the entire overflow tank draining all over the place, basically have to remove a crash brace to even get the cap off the radiator, have to remove part of the exhaust to get to the thermostat, air box is impossible to get to, battery is impossible to get to, fuel pump sender/floater is all one pice and has to be replaced as a unit, the intake gaskets are plastic (big no-no), the coolant eats through said intake gaskets, pistons slap because of crappy design, anything on the interior is a bitch to work on.

And im just getting started.....

I have had none of these issues, but Ford has it's own. Each brand has it's issues, not just GM.

Better financial practices and a consistently quality product.

Part of the problem is that they shoved way too much shit under the hood of that car, without leaving enough room to work. I know each brand has its own issues, but damn, when it's time to do any work on our fords, I never have any huge issues.
