it's a 72. I'm pretty sure that 71s have the parking lights integrated into the bumper, as opposed to having them in the grille like the 72

'71 has square fog lights in the bumper and they're the only years with an hood ornament. I know because:

1st gen Monte's didn't have "fog lights" in the bumper

There's one 2nd weekend of month at A&W in Madisonville, TN, 3rd weekend of month in Athens, TN, and 4th weekend of month in Cleveland, TN.
I bought a 70 Monte back in 80, was BBC/T400 car with 12 bolt posi......was a Minnesota car & was rusted BAD inside the trunk area, so parted it out & built the motor for a 65 Impala I decided to build into a SLEEPER. I sold the car to a guy that wanted the motor for his 66 Malibu, that car ended up in FLA.

Excuse me, I meant parking lights. We've been to Cleveland a few times. Now though, I'm at work at Crown Cars most of the time while the car show goes on so I don't get to see it and it's only a few blocks away from the dealership! Ours is a sleeper too.
