Did it have dual exhaust and was it a 4-speed?

Yes it had dual exhaust, but I couldn't see inside cause the windows were so dark, and also there were no 442 badges anywhere on the car, I found a rear view if it helps

But what muscle car doesn't have dual exhaust? Any one you see has dual exhaust or side exit so I don't thing that's a very reliable trait to go by

True but that's why I ask if it had a 4-speed. The stripes look correct but the way you can really tell is check the vin.

All original 1979 Pontiac Trans Am with a 6.6 400 V8. Car was last registered in 1988, and has been sitting ever since. Don't know the mileage, but I assume it's low. It's been in Florida all of it's life, so rust issues are minimal. I couldn't find any rust on the outside of the car.

The people that owned it weren't car people. I washed some of the dirt off the last time I was out there, and the paint is still in really good condition. The car has been in the garage for all 25+ years.

Owned past tense? Does that mean you bought it?

No, it doesn't run. Everything is probably dry rotted and all the fluids are probably stale.

I don't own the car. My 1980 F150 is enough of a project as is. I can't justify having two restoration projects. But trust me, if there was no F150, I would have already posted pictures of this thing at my house.

It's owned by my buddy's brother in law, who lives five hours away from the car, and knows nothing about cars in general.
