Ah so they weren't any good then? I like inline 5 engines. If for some strange reason I was to go looking for another small truck, the 5 cyl would be a plus for the Colorado. However, that will not happen especially if they are turd.

Can't be any worse than the 4 cyl in my dad's work Colorado tho, right?

No the R35 GTR is not a Skyline. R34 and below were Skylines. After the R34 the Skyline name was applied to the Japanese Nissan version of the Infiniti G series, so the G35 is the Skyline 350gt and the G37 is the Skyline 370gt. The numbers indicate the engine size, 3.5l and 3.7l respectively.

The 370gt currently exists as a Skyline while the GTR exists as a GTR.

yeah i really don't like 'em, i would honestly take a 4cyl colorado before i got one with the I 5. they're noisy and unrefined when they run, not good on gas and they don't have a good powerband. kinda like a 3.0 ranger that gets 4.0 MPG's. on top of that they crack exhaust and intake manifolds all the time, and i've heard of headgasket issues too, and parts arn't cheap.

the 4cyl engines on the other hand, have NO power (i think they're rated for less than 100 HP). but i beleive it's based on the old iron duke engine which has been in GM's (and jeeps, and boats, and small construction equipment, and commercial generators, ect) for decades, and it's really a good bullitproof engine. unless GM has reallly messed with it in the last few years (which wouldin't suprise me )

Yeah my dad's is incredibly slow. It would still probably beat my Ranger though lol. He actually had to turn it in recently for a few days because of an exhaust leak. It sounded like it was about to give out every time it started up and sounded like an old VW when it drove off.

Nothing amazing but a clean G37 outside my friends house. I was driving my dad's 2012 g37 and parked right behind him haha. I like his front end, it's not stock but looks amazingly clean.

yeah the volvos are a better built product overall. i've never heard one with an exhaust on it, but i'd imagine it would sound neat. i did see one colorado with an exhaust and i'll admit it sounded kinda cool. it's just too bad it's a POS engine, lol.

My dad had an 05 Colorado before. It had an inline 5. Never gave him any problems. I'm not big on Chevy, but I do like Colorados.
