Run NS and you risk being rearended..I like the way it looks..But I really dont want some dipshit driver who is half a$$ paying attention to ruin my day and hit my truck and fuck up all the hard work I have put into it. I bought the tinted Euros off Ebay for $50...shipped

BTW...I've seen his other threads and pics. Those are what I'm basing my opinion on in regards to his tails. They're straight up black...no hint of any red or amber in those. How is a 20w incandescent light supposed to shine through 5% visibilty coat of paint ontop of a translucent material, making it almost opaque?

and newsflash for the people who hate me for hating on tinted lights and and for posting in this thread....I ran 'em for a while til I found myself behind someone one afternoon that I almost plowed right into when they slammed on their brakes. guess what they had.....shaded tails. Darker than mine. and mine were too dark for me IMO in the first place. Mine are NOTHING compared to the big majority of niteshaders, definately including the OP.

/end.
no my friend i think you are wrong.... you are making your opinion biased towards an event that happened to YOU. me and 2 of my friends shaded our tailights pretty dark and their dad swore you wouldnt be able to see them in the day time. his dad is in his 60's and he now wants to shade his tailights. it all depends on how you do it man. and if you read the can it says not to use more than 3 coats of paint. if you use 2 coats (like I did) it is very dark but very translucent. just take it easy bro they are just shaded taillights

imho
ok now using that logic, turn on the dome light during the day with the limo tint and tell me if you can see the light. i can tell say you wont be able to. ive been behind vehicles on the road with blacked out (tinted) tails and had a very hard time seeing there lights. its especially bad in blizzard conditions or rain/ fog conditions. if done in moderation its no problem, but most ive seen were not in moderation. i know i wont make freinds with this statement but it should be an automatic ticket if your lights are altered in anyway that reduces the light output. no fix it ticket, a straight up ticket. its a safety hazard, plain and simple.

i see where you all are coming from but think, if your eye sight is not good enough to see lights through ns then you shouldnt be driving on the road. now i agree that some peoples are way too dark. but the OP's really arent that dark. and i have tinted windows.... you can see your dome light in the day time through it lol. but limo tint is 0% visability... his nightshade isnt
man i cant believe we are all bitchin like this over some damn nightshade.

Take a fog light and hold it against the tinted window, you'll see it trust me.

But yeah, its going a lil far, so i'll bow out of this one.

Get those I have them and are sick! I have the 02 ones though because I like the style and the output at night. Get em!

I work on alot of trucks that have tails like those.. The thing I notice the most about them is that the LEDs tend to go out in them and they look snaggletoothed even with one missing.

Well I had mine for about two months now and they are all still working. I even tap the brakes slightly just for it to rapidly light up just because I'm bored on the traffic stop lights and I'm listening to the music so I beat to it lol. Hey still works fine though.

the only reason why cops have a problem with these in my area is because it makes the taillights non-reflective, which apparently is illegal in IL....

I have shaded euro lights. I got them for free from my brother. It is only like 2 light coats of niteshade. My dad was realllyyy against shaded tails, but I thought they would look cool. After putting them on, my dad doesn't have a problem with them. Driving in this shitty Saskatchewan weather (lakes flooding, crops into lakes) with practically non-stop rain. My family has followed me in intense rain and they say it's fine, I still kept my stock tails in case of tickets, but I have been right infront of numerous cops and had to stop for lights and stop signs and I haven't got pulled over. I'll post up some pics, but yeah like said before, some people go way overboard, but if you do it in moderation they look sweet and are good enough light output. You people are free to your opinions but I personally think they look sweet, js250.

My opinion is that lights are meant to light things. I also knew this guy who had some night shaded tails, and he got rear-ended. The insurance companies wouldn't give him a dime because he had that shit on his tails.

Yeah, I like the looks, but thats a risk I don't wanna take. Even if you put the LED bulbs in, painting a tail light black still kind of defeats the purpose..
