I've got a '93 ford ranger I picked up back in January. Now has 193,xxx miles. I changed some parts on it about a month ago, including spark plugs, plug wires, cap, rotor, fuel filter, oil filter and oil change. Truck was my daily till about 3 weeks ago, when the water pump went on it. I changed the water pump, accessory belt, flush the cooling system and changed the antifreeze. First drive after changing the water pump, the truck had a bad misfire. Based on the misfire and the recent chance at overheating, I'm guessing it might have a blown head gasket. Besides that, the engine is a 3.0 v6, has an automatic transmission, and is 2WD. The heater core was changed recently and blows hot, but the a/c does not work. The head liner has rips in it but has pins holding it up. The only dent is in the driver side fender. It's not terrible, but is noticeable.
There is no key to lock the doors. The only key I had broke off in the ignition, I've had no problem starting it like this, but again, nothing to lock the door with
Clean title
Before the recent misfire the truck ran great. Trans was perfect, kept up with oil changes, recent filter changes, ran smooth, never any problems. The truck still runs.
the truck should be towed away to avoid further damage. It will drive, but any more overheating could obviously cause more problems.
