Default 1992 / 92 ford ranger ** Michigan Area ** 6 cyc 7ft bed no frame rust 20 mpg 1500 obo

Up for sale is a 1992 Ford Ranger 6 cycl, 3.0L Automatic / extended bed with liner (7ft), 152k original miles. Detroit Area. Just asking for it what I put into it (how much more fair can I get here?)!

YOU WILL NOT FIND ANOTHER 92 FORD RANGER WITH THIS LITTLE FRAME RUST. IT'S PRACTICALLY LIKE WE STEPPED 18 YEARS INTO THE PAST! THERE'S PRACTICALLY NONE!

Getting rid of it because I'm in the market for a new vehicle and I don't need a used car lot where I live. Also, I don't really drive this that much and is just costing me money so off it goes!

Fun fact: joined this forum for in case I had issues with the truck, I could ask. As you can tell by my post count, I haven't had any issues with it.

VIN: 1FTCR1OU9NTA55323

Would be a great light-duty work truck with HUGE gas savings!

- Light body rust
- virtually no significant frame rust (way less than any comparable 92 ranger of this age) - almost not even worth mentioning (yes, really)
- Decent MPG (around 20)
- 1 right-side impact disabling accident in 1997 (according to carfax) before we purchased it (we got it about 1999). Looks like it was repaired and put back out on the market. This would explain the paint not fading uniformly.
- Has been sitting in a garage in maine since 2004/2005 until my mom said I could have it or she was selling it. Drove it through Canada successfully to get here then did a bunch more work on it.

About 1500 worth of work done to it:

- new side mirrors
- New Brakes / rotors? / calipers in front at least (did this before we left to make it legal in maine)
- 2 newer wrangler tires, 2 decently treaded tires
- New U-brace
- All new coolant hoses (were spongy)
- All new belts
- New rear shock
- New distributor cap and plugs
- Optima Yellowtop battery
- Tranny flush
- Coolant flush
- Updated the A/C valve and charged it, but most of it leaked out by the time we realized it needed a new valve. Put one in, but my fatherinlaw says you don't want too much of the new gas in there or it might screw up the compressor since it's designed for the older stuff so you can charge it if you want. It shouldn't leak now.
- Some sort of cd player in there

- no check engine light
- tranny, engine, just about everything works perfect!
- Drives like a dream for its age. SUPER RELIABLE!

This truck drives GREAT for its age, hauled half a pallet of pavers with it last time I actually needed to use it and have driven it to Pennsylvania and back a few times with no problems. Does highway speeds well with no vibration, takes a minute to get up to highway speeds, but is ok when it gets there, otherwise it is pretty zippy (zippier than my parents' 98 ranger)
The ONLY issue with it (this is WAYYY common for this year ranger) is that it leaks oil to the tune of maybe a quart every other week or so depending on how much you drive. My research indicates that it's a design flaw and the way to fix it is to put a 1993 ranger oil pan gasket on your oil pan. But it's not the easiest task to do as I think you have to lift the engine block to do it.

Otherwise this is a SUPER dependable light-duty truck that is GREAT on gas! Never gave me any problems! Shoot me some offers!

How the transaction will commence:

- Please bring an up to date drivers license
- Pay with cash or we can go to your bank to either go to the bank to withdraw or buy a certified check (if you must do personal check, you must wait 7 business days for it to clear before we transfer the title - bout a week and a half)
