This truck looks like it was extremely nice... until they rolled it. Is it even worth trying (on a LOW budget)?

nope that roof is too severly damaged...hell ive seen cars/trucks totalled at work with 1/4 of that roof damage

cab swap isn't too hard. custom extended cab short bed, do it!

If you know how to put a new roof on PROPERLY (thats the keyword, i've seen many a roof gone wrong) then it may be worth it. Chop yourself an old one from the junkyard, i'd say its like 100-200 bucks, and to fix the tire wobble, it'll probably need a new axle shaft and other misc parts. I'd say 300 bucks.
Thats if your doing the work yourself

If you wanna find a rebuilder check 43auto in Joplin they always have some good rangers for sale.

I can do roofs, but the hard part is lining it up and making it strait with the truck without proper equipment. Did one on a '13ish Fiesta the otherday. Tiny roofs are easy, but my measurement system kept giving me an error with the A pillar, I guess when they get hit at the barrier, the A-pillar is ment to be crushed. So i ended up having to swap another A pillar in, in order to put a new roof on.
Fun stuff happenin in Crash&safety.

Yeah they've got some pretty good rebuilders on their site, though no rangers are listed

Do they have more inventory that is just not listed or do they put everything on the site?

They have more that are not listed. You can call them and find out what else they got.

I would build it. Pick up a non running 2wd cheap to get the cab and axle and put it together.
