Looking to sell my 1985 Ford Ranger 4x4, 2.3L gas, 5 spd.

IT RUNS EXCELLENT. 4x4 needs hubs but the axles and transfer case is good.

Bought some new parts (just put them all on):
Timing belt
Rear main seal
Front main seal
Heater core
IAC valve
MAP sensor
Some nice used Wrangler M/T (30X9.50X15)
Oil pump
Oilpan gasket
Valve cover gasket (rubber)
Flywheel
Starter

It just needs body/interior work, steering gear box (old one leaks), 4x4 hubs, brake master cylinder.



Will sell for $1200 or best offer.

I hate to sell the Ranger BUT it needs alot of work done to it BUT it runs.



Been thinking to that I need to keep my 79 F150 4X4 for a mud truck and keep my Bronco for DD and towing my 79 and tractor,etc. Was going to sell Bronco and fix Ranger.

Ranger won't tow nothing..but its ownself.

Plus I won't be able to build up my 79 with a bigger cam and be able to tow unless I want to burn up the transmission.

I would keep a hold of that thing dude! Those 4 cl, 5 sp 4x4 rangers are RARE! If you werents so far away, I know of a guy that's looking for another one of these.

RIP JASON

It came with a 2.8L.

Someone swapped in a 2.3L.

The old 2.3L I had in it had a valve rocker pop off and made my #2 cylinder leak.


I put in my 2.3L out of my Courier in it.


IF I HAD ALOT OF EXTRA MONEY. I would keep it....but.....yeah.

Would kept the Ranger, have a tow truck, and have my 79 4x4 BUT things don't work out how you want them.



I already got a EXTREMELY rare 4x4 Courier but will now have to put a new 2.3L in it and restore it.
