U will need to contact someone over there. I highly doubt a UK ranger is around here. There r a few UK members they could help.
Mexico offers a diesel ranger I believe.

Doug, can you give us some more information please. I have always wanted one and would like to know the route to take. Is there a UK Ford site where you can look at models available? I am also interested in knowing more about the ones available in Mexico and how difficult it is to get one from there. Dave

Just drop one in yours. I was out in the desert a couple weeks ago, and there was a guy driving around with a 6.2 liter diesel in his ranger prerunner. Doubt it was street legal though.

Then again, technically neither is mine..

You can get a diesel ranger here in the US. It doesnt pass the emissions, hence why they are not for sale here.

Just like the crewcab rangers will not pass the US safety standards. but they are all over south america

We all know rangers are not really a ford Tuck the only thing ford on them is a lil Blue oval . what are these things called??? OH thats right they are a Mazda trucks ~Hmmm
I have also contacted Ashly ford in Dublin ireland to see about having one sent hear .
Oh and there are NO emissions testing hear in Jacksonville Florida so who is going tell me I can't drive one??????????.
wen all MY Info is in from Ford I will pass it a long .
these lil diesels can be made 2 pass emissions tests hear, just like all new Diesels could be .
Market researchers have not found a viable market for these small Diesels hear in the u.s.
w/ price and availability for Diesel being an issue . the Mazda ranger non Diesel delivers good fuel mileage and Gasoline being a lot cheaper no one is crying for a Diesel
Ford mazda ranger at this time . But a few ppl like My self .
the 4 cyl. Diesel only gets 26.43 M P G , so if you are a fleet owner say 40 + trucks, over the span of a yr it save some $$$$$$ huh!!

I am A.S.E. certified have been for 26 years

The import tariff that will be posed on that vehicle is going to be high. That is the main reason people do not get them from Mexico. Also, the pillar arm on the Quad Cab does not meet US safety standards. Another reason people aren't bringing them in from Mexico. There was a long thread on another forum discussing this very topic. I will try and dig it up.

**By the way. Any car that is imported from another country MUST go through an emissions test and safety test within 30 days of arrival.

When you bring it from customs and you reg it with Fl GUUUUESSSSS WHAT haha inspection Boom FAIL
Also you might want to look into this- importing cars into the USA from any country requires that they meet safety standards as outlined in the Motor Vehicle Safety Act of 1966 as revised in 1988 in the Imported Vehicle Safety Compliance Act; to air pollution control standards as outline in the Clean Air Act of 1968 and amended in 1977 and again in 1990; and to the bumper standards of the 1972 Motor Vehicle Information and Cost Savings Act that were effective in 1978.

There is no need to flame the guy. He can do it. But it will be a hassle and relatively expensive. The importer must be registered with the US and the vehicle must be on a list of conforming import vehicles. If it isn't (which according to the list I just looked at it is not) then you will have even more paperwork and even more hassle getting it out of customs.
