What year and options do you want show me the money and I'll drive it to your house. It'll be right hand drive. Just soes yuz nose.

Anyone can import prettymuch any vehicle that they wish. It can be costly, just the transporting would be around $4,500, but first you'd have to have it upgraded, there are plenty of places avail. to do it overseas. You would "simply" Loaded word! Buy the vehicle, have it shipped to a AUTHORIZED shop, they would upgrade the vehicle to the model year US specifications $6k +/-, then it would have to be inspected stamped and put on a boat.

I've brought 3 here.

The biggest hurdles are the impact safety beams in the doors, the Safety glass, and the headlights. Emissions are the least of his worries PCV is pretty standard these days and well CAT upgrade is pretty easy too and that leaves vapor neutralizing, a charcoal canister is about $15-20 bucks add $3 for some rubber hose, and $1.50 for a brass nipple. (Really it can't be too stringent we have Kia's here! lol )

Best of luck on your endeavor, I would love to hear how it went. Also just soes ya nose Ford has a couple of drop in deisel options. One is a 300ftlb TQ 4cyl. and there's another but it escapes me. (buddy with Ford Team.)

FYI to all. . .
US Ford Rangers are Domestic vehicles and always have been.
RoW Rangers were design mocks of Japanese trucks done by Ford of Europe and later incl. Mazda JP.
Mazda is and American and French owned company.
Only in the past year or so have foreign parts made onto US Rangers.
You'll notice a size difference on the new Ranger beds. You'll see they are too small width wise, if I recall correctly it is a part manufactured in Taiwan for RoW Rangers.

Hope all enjoys these little tidbits.

C'mon Guys, so he wants a vehicle maybe he doesn't have a clue, maybe he does, Geez cut him a little slack. I'd think there's atleast a doz. guys here that would crap themselves publicly for a chance to get a Diesel four door Ranger. . . I mean C'mon who's to say I don't have a Porsche GT3 parked next to my Plowed Ranger and my Scion xB and my F150, and my X1/9.

Anyone who wishes to call my bluff, simply put your wager in your retort, and no lowballing. lol

While I appreciate the response, and I nor anyone else said it couldnt be done, the other dude sounds like hes speaking out of his ass. Thats all. I know it can be done, as Ive seen cars from overseas come here and be driven as daily vehicles. The fact of the matter is, if you are going to speak out of your ass, do it in a believable fashion.

Do I have a Ranger FX4 L II and F 150 and 250 FX4's (both for work, 250 a diesel for pulling my equipment)? I most certainly do. Does my wife drive a Honda Accord Crosstour? Yes she does (which is very unfortunate, actually). Would I jump at the chance to own a 4 door deisel Ranger? Youre damn right I would. I however would never spend the money on it unless it was built in the US and for a decent price. What it would cost me to import a diesel, option it out the way Id like, and import it, then go through the b.s. with the gov't..... It just isnt worth it to me.

Now about the PowerStroke V6 from the Cab Over chassis I see quite often.... Think that would fit in a Ranger? To me, that would be worth buying the engine and dropping it in a frame

I see, the no BS zone is in effect. lol, You may have just destroyed some poor socially enept 16yr. olds first and last attempt to ever fit in.

I can ask my buddy which diesels where a direct fit. He had mentioned a bigger one than the 4cyl. (which he said was by no means a slouch). He noted that Ford had tottled with the idea but there was no demand. They have actually fitted both motors into rangers but it died there. I'll give him a call tomorrow and find out what I can. You can check thier website.
www.Teamfordparts.com Also he noted that they have the a deal with Ford Motorcraft to sell parts at great discounts. (This is where all of you reading should be paying close attention)

The conversation came about as he was checking out my plow setup and I told him that I had been looking into all kinds of crap to do to my truck. He said diesel and I said tell me more. I'll let you know.

Hi yes it took him a couple of days to get back to me, but he said the best candidate was the 2.8l cummins motor, it takes a little minor fab, but other than that it is a shoe in and pushes 300+ ftlbs TQ. Not too shabby indeed.
