Looking for info on the ranger crew anyone got anything...id love to buy one with the diesel 4wd and stick shift

Diesel Crewcabs are not sold in Mexico. There, you just get gasoline ones (2.3L). You'd have to go to Costa Rica, or South America, like Chile, Argentina, Brazil, Uruguay... IMHO, It'd cost you a lot more than it is worth.

Maybe you could get a crewcab in Mexico and bring it to the States. Then you just find a diesel engine suitable for the truck and you'd be good to go.

Here is what I got told. I was looking at importing one to the US * we have them here in afghan and they are CHEAP) 1. You have to get it to a port for loading pay all that customs etc, 2. IF they let you export it either before it gets to the states or right after it get here you have have all the windows replaced with the US safety class. Also you have to get to pass the EPA laws such as smog and crap like that. In the long run after I totaled it up it easier 2 get to make a qaud cab, and build a engine for it. Its long drawn out and customs is a itch.

On a side note from looking at it I almost seems to me that it is a Ranger body on a yota frame and sub assy I need to look at it more but I think its even running the H233B rearend (9 1/2 rearend).

Crewcabs have a D44 as rear axle.

I'd say make it a quad cab. I've had the thought of turning my single cab into a 4 real door machine for a long time. No idea how the hell one does that though, or how much it costs. Someday, before I die, it will be done.

Don't wanna be a stubborn SOB, but I have a crewcab and it has a d44 with a rubber plug. A cousin has a crewcab and hers has a d44 and the rubber plug. A friend has a diesel ranger just like the one shown previously, and it has a d44 with the always leaking rubber plug.

Notice the shape difference between a d44 and a nissan axle.

Back on topic:
OP, extending the cab on a Ranger to the size of a crewcab has been done, but the one I've seen only has 2 doors, not 4. Also, the length between the axles is bigger on a crewcab ranger, than on a reg./ext. cab ranger. Apart from that, everything else is similar. Well, despite the fact that only Central/South American, Thai and European Rangers have diesel engines.

I am not a fan of that body style. It looks way too much like an Explorer Sportrac. I like the black four door one in the video at the top of the page.
