I have for sale my 1987 Ford Ranger project truck. I was in the process of converting it from an automatic transmission to a stick shift transmission. Unfortunately, too many unavoidable situations are causing me to not be able to finish the truck. That being said, my truck is currently on the bottom end of my current priorities list. So, about the truck

1987 Ford Ranger XLT
-302 HO V8 out of a 1985 Ford Mustang, properly set in mounts. I tore out all of the truck's wiring and started over with a new, very basic wiring harness creation that, for the engine the I wired so far, worked out great. Engine ran fine, aside from a little bit of oil leakage around the spot where you screw in the oil pressure sensor. Will need to wire up the alternator since I was kind of up in the air about using one from a 1970's truck (which is currently in and unwired) or buying a 1-wire alternator. Carburetor is a Holley 4-barrel vaccuum secondary. I took out the choke plate since it's an off-road truck and I can warm it up without. Carb is in my work toolbox and dry. I can put back in the truck or leave out. It doesn't matter to me. I was going to pick up a mech-sec carb.
-Body is in fairly great shape, aside from the paint on the roof is a little chipped and you can see the original paint underneath in some spots around the sunroof. Speaking of which, the truck has a sunroof.
-I do NOT have a transmission or transfer case for the truck. Like I said, I was in the process of a mass mechanical swap. The truck will roll on all 4's though. I also have both the front and rear axles off a 1978 Ford Bronco that I was going to swap in. The front is dismantled, but all the parts are there in bags. The front is a full width Dana 44 Hi-pinion axle, the rear is a Ford 9-inch. Off the top of my head, I will assume the gear ratios are stock since I never got around to changing them. When I took the transmission out and scrapped it, I kept the flexplate and the torque converter. The original owner attached the engine to a C4 3-speed automatic. Therefore, that's what the TC and FP will best fit. Also coming with the front axle are those b***h and a half to get full length radius arms and end caps for you to use.
-Engine and fuel pump are wired up. Nothing else is. I tore out everything, and I mean EVERYTHING, related to the original computer system, sensors, wire braid, and all. I tore out the original dash and controls and do-things as well. Was going to custom make a new dash cluster with digital gauges.
-The tires are CRAP. You might be suicidal if you go driving on them. The two on the passenger side might survive. The driver side isn't gonna fly. I have a total of 2 10-inch deep dish steel wheels and 3 8-inch aluminum wheels (well, I think they're 8-inch). The tires hold air and keep the truck off the ground. That's it.
-Frame is solid, which I do find impressive for the truck's age.
-Interior of the truck is in need of a good tear-out and re-do. Rain kept leaking through the sunroof and the sun kept baking it, so it kind of took a toll on the general odor of the inside of the truck. I took the passenger seat out of the truck so I could work around the interior a little easier. The passenger seat is in the bed. I would advise replacing both seats since they don't really hold their positions. Both jump seats look brand new.

I can come up with more, but if you want specifics, all you have to do is ask. Remember a) this is a bare-balls truck, and b) you're gonna need a tow truck or a flat bed to pick it up. Serious inquiries only, and no bullsh*t.
