Default Albuquerque - 1997 XLT 4-cyl 2.3L Manual 5-sp Standard Cab in white. 161k.

Private Party auctioning off my 1997 Ford Ranger XLT 4-cyl 2.3L Manual 5-sp Standard Cab in white. Mileage is 161,005 as of 9/4/16, but she is my weekend driver, so will be a lil' bit more when you pick it up - I expect it to be around 161,100. Selling As Is, with no warranty, express or implied.

The Good:
New Cooper Hercules tires (2,905 miles on them.)
Relatively new Duralast Gold battery (7,365 miles on it.)
Relatively new Timing Belt (8,291 miles.) Non-interference engine.
Cold A/C and hot heat. Standard cab cools (and warms up) quickly.
New front brake pads.
Fresh oil and filter change.
Truck runs fine. No known oil or coolant leaks.
Full service records since 55k miles, including regular oil changes. I am the second owner.
Clean interior. Look at the pictures.
Bed mat.
Sliding rear window.
Pristine windshield. No cracks or dings.
Title in hand and ready to be transferred.

The Bad:
Standard gas gauge is broken. I think the sender unit is defective. I use the “Trip Odometer Gas Gauge”, with Empty being around 340 miles, but your mileage may vary. The fuel tank capacity is 17 gallons.
The fuel filler neck needs to be replaced and leaks when the gas tank is near full. I wrapped some duct tape around it, but a few drops of gas still leak out when filling up, and you can smell it. Helps to not fill quite to the top. Known common problem with older Rangers.
Radio does not completely power off. I turn the volume down all the way when not listening. Does not run down the battery. Known electrical glitch with this year's model.
No instrument cluster illumination.
Driver's seat belt buckle has worn out. I use the middle seat buckle.

The Ugly:
She was in a minor accident on 1/19/09 and was struck on the front driver's side wheel, but accident was not severe enough to be reported. Camber/caster cams were replaced and alignment done, but some cosmetic damage remains. She could use a new front driver-side fender, bumper, and grill opening panel.
A few minor body dings here and there.

The following items will be included:
Fuel filter disconnect tool
Owner's Manual
Haynes Repair Manual
Full service records since 55k (my duration of ownership.)

I will have the vehicle in the Toys R Us parking lot in Rio Rancho, NM on Saturday, 9/10 from 10-11am so you can come look it over. Selling the vehicle As Is with no warranty, express or implied.

See the world's most popular online auction site - additional images are there. Auction ends Sunday, Sept. 11 at 1:50pm MDT.
