Default Spindle lift install: Lower control arm integrity

For those of you that have done a spindle lift and have had to grind off parts of the control arm to get a good turning radius; What kind of structural fabrication should be done to get the integrity back? I took my ranger to the dealership to get an alignment done, and to get my brake lines extended after putting 3 in lift spindles on. They refuse to do anything with my truck because of how dangerous it would be from the parts grinded off the control arm. Its understandable, but what I want to know is how is everyones truck thats had that done doing? or what did you do to prevent the control arm from breaking? I'm thinking of welding a new lip inderneath it to get the strenth back. all input is appreciated!

What!?!? I have a 99 2wd with 3" spindles. I didnt grind anything and I definitely didnt extend brake lines.

strange, maybe they sent me 4in by accident. Can't really tell. But the spindles I got are from WheelsNparts. the front brake calipers wouldnt even reach the disks, Had to lower the truck onto its wheels just to put pressure on the suspension to lower it enough to put em on just so I could have brakes to get to the shop

Actually, I shouldve mentioned it's an edge, so it came from the factory with a 2" lift already, like the 4x4s. Thats probably why. Although its weird that you didnt have to grind anything...most people say that they have to. Mustve been a better spindle than mine

With my torsion bar lift spindles from WheelsNParts I only had to grind the steering stop nub off. That was just to keep from loosing my brakes at full lock.

They did sent you the right ones right? The torsion bar and coil spring spindles are different.

yeah on my receipt I made sure it was for the 2wd torsion bar rangers and it was. Even though on the receipt it said 3in but in the instructions it said 4"...I just figured they use the same instructions for both.
they installed fine, the only problem was the lower control arm clearance. In the instructions it did say to grind off 1/4" of the control arm so I feel like it was the right ones. Also, I mean they fit great, its just when I tried to turn it would make contact.
