yes but a BL does not give you any added ground clearance...a suspension lift is the only way to do that

I just want to clear something. Yes a body lift only lifts the body off the frame. But having a SL doesn't really clear the axel out of the way. There is actually more to get hung up on then a body lift. Yes the SL is better because it keeps the CVs at a good angle. But getting bigger tires is truly the axel up an out of the way. Think about it. The SL brings the frame up higher off the suspension. I know people are going to complain at me about the words I just said. But look how the new cross members are on a super lift.

No..it doesnt...but the point of a body lift is to add larger tires...which does give more ground clearance

that lifts everything...like what FX4LVLII said!

Sweet, hopefully I can crank my t-bars this weekend or next. I hate just having my truck sitting there and not being lifted haha. All i've done since buying it was get a windshield decal, clear corner lights, bug shield, window visors, and spare key .......... Thanks for the info though guys its helped a lot coming from guys with the actual lifts and knowledge about them

That's like saying why by a corvette or a Porsche when you can't use them for what there meant for (speed) it's cause people like the look of them. Same with lifting not everyone offroads but like the look of a lifted truck

Ahhh, the psychological desire to "fit in" a certain niche. You don't need to do it. You don't have to do it. But since everyone else has it, and you don't, you come up with whatever reasoning to justify attaining it.

Just remember if you ever do end up getting a suspension lift. Consider that 1,500 a down payment because it is going to cost you a whole lot more than that to have everything right.

After lifting comes new tires, with wider tires you need new wheels, then you will need lower gears, then a tuner cause your speedo needs recalibrated, then new front driveshaft after your stock one goes and on and on and on.

So just think about it and ask yourself if you want to spend more like 5 grand on that lift when it's done.
