Re: Check susp light
Check susp light? Aren't those usually for air suspensions?
----------
I didn't think rangers/mazda b series had that light?

Re: Check susp light
I have never heard of a check suspension light on a ranger before. Do you have an air bag suspension?

Re: Check susp light
Is your cluster out of an Explorer? I think some of the 4x4 explorers had the check susp light but that's the only way I could figure that you would have one in the mazda.

Not sure. Makes no sense for there to be a check susp light without an air suspension.

I am the second owner my grandfather is the origanal owner bought it in 03 new .it just turned over 80k miles I asked him if he had ever replaced the cluster or had any work done to it and he said there hasn't been any. He was also scratching his head when I showed him the light and he's more mechanically inclined than me

I once read in a nissan forum that they took in their brand new 2012 altima to dealer for repair because the heated seats were not working. YUP THREE days after getting the new car. It turned out the car had the basic non heated seats installed in the assembly line so dealer had to order the correct heated seats. Just a thought..... if the assembly line were your truck was "born" also assemmbled other vehicles with similar parts maybe there could have beenn a mix up. I wonder if it means a check engine light but on the wrong spot.
----------
On my older 94 ranger 4X2 i could ssee the 4X4 logo and 4LO if the sun shined on it. Maybe on yourr truck there was a mixup of that spot shouldnt have a light bulb installed on that spot or if it has the wrong instrument clusterr maybe the chek engine light is on or abs light or something else. Get a sanner and chhek forr codes to rule out a code.

That's very possible my check engine light has been on before and it's not in the wrong place the check susp light was a dim green. I just want to get to the bottom of it and even if the assembly line put the wrong cluster in I don't think the light would be connected to anything via no air bags or any sensors on my suspension

I know it doesn't answer the question "what is it" but did you disconnect the battery to see if it goes away?

Re: Check susp light
in the older clusters there was a check suspension area in the cluster. Had it in my 99 but there was no bulb or anything for it.
