Default Anyone have Rancho RS9000??

I was thinking of changing my shocks as the ride is quite rough and twists you around madly when going over speed bumps slowly. I was looking at the adjustable Rancho rs9000's what do you guys think?

RS9000's would be a good choice, they have 9 different settings, 1-5 will give you flexibility on and off road and than you have settings 6 - 9 for performance / towing flexibility.

Bilsteins would be a good choice.
I have rs5000 and my ride is comfortable. My old motorcraft shocks were stiff as a mofo

Hmm ok thanks, ya my stock ranchos are killing it they are really rough and the truck shakes on manhole covers and everything like crazy, my t bars are maxed so maybe that's why... So I would need longer shocks ?:?!

Yeah i would definitely get longer shocks , see how that helps handle the ride and than take it from there.

Longer in the front yes. For the rear it depends if you lifted the rear

What size of shock in a rs-9000 do you think I'd be looking at?

Front RS9000

Hope this helps

Cranger,

My apologies looks like you'd wanna check out the Rs5000 series, the shock for your application can be found here :

Ahh that's what I was thinking, thanks!
Do you have any experience with them? What do you think of them?

I don't have any experience with that particular part but we do have the rs5000 series on our Ram 1500 work truck as well as I have them on my personal Ram 2500. I honestly cant really complain, they do what their intended for and for the $49 you cant really beat it. I do take my truck off road occasionally and they withstand the bumps and bruises but overall their pretty much designed for street use.

So with that being said it really depends on what your looking to do with your truck, if your truck's mainly street used than I'd say run with em.

Okay thanks for the opinions, I appreciate getting lots of info! Yeah I'm mostly on street some light off road, but looking for a smoother riding shock compared to my stock ranchos !
