Default How much do coil springs sag over time?

I want to try and correct my Ranger lean by getting a brand new factory coil only for the drivers side. The truck is 14 years old. does anyone know how much coils will droop over time? Are we talking small fractions of an inch after 15 years? or is it more like 1.5" after 15 years?

If it raises my drivers side front corner by 2/3" that would be fucking perfect. It would drop the rear passenger corner down closer to where it needs to be. But I'm kinda rolling the dice..I don't want it to give me over an inch and I don't want it to give me zero either and then the whole thing was a waste of time and money.

yeah. Im running belltech shackles. No one has ever been able to correct their lean by changing shackles and hangers, or swapping springs.

Science would say that a brand new OEM drivers side coil spring paired with the 14 year old passenger spring would have to correct the lean. The question is how much.

It seems that replacing both coils would solve your problem also.

possibly but i guarantee you a year later it will be leaning too much again and I'm back to square one. My thought is if you only replace the left side coil it fixes the lean and futureproofs it alittle.

not that this is the solution but did rangers come off the floor with the ranger lean already there? if not then it might be a good idea to replace all springs...?

Yes but when the truck is brand new you can't tell. Over the years the weight distribution of the truck causes some trucks to lean. This isn't just a Ranger thing...chevys do it and yota's do it. But some lean more than others. On some trucks you can't tell because it's not as bad. Mine is bad. Alot of it is from how often you drive alone and I do on a regular basis.

I know. The other option is a spacer but i don't think they make one that only gives 1" of lift.
