Default coil spring question with pic

I just put my spacers in yesterday. After I did, I started to notice a clunking noise when I'd hit the brakes. I couldn't find what it was, but then I finally noticed the drivers side coil spring wasn't setting on the spacer as smoothly as the passenger side. I'm pretty sure the noise was the spring going down onto the spacer when I hit the brake, then back up when I'd let off. I get 10 hours a month to use the shop I work at for personal matters, and I'm all out of time for this month. Would it cause any harm being like this? I've driven the hell out of it to make sure the spring wouldn't pop out, and after the hell I put it through, I'm POSITIVE it isn't coming out of there.

shouldnt those go on the top of the spring? did you get longer bolts to extend to the plate that holds the spring in place? those springs should be held in place by a bolt and washer that goes through the beam and also holds the radius arm to the beam. also make sure to use grade 8 fasteners

no, they go under the spring. if they were on top, theres no bolt to hold it in the coil bucket, like there is on the bottom.
