90 ranger rear leaf springs?

i've got a 1990 ranger ext. cab shortbed 4x2. it's leaning to the drivers side and am looking to replace the leaf springs on it. short of going to the junk yard and picking up some. will any other leaf spring packs work from other yr. rangers? thanks

1st you need to check where the springs mount to the frame to see if the perch is broken... not always best idea to goto junkyard to get used springs.. check yellow pages for a spring shop.. they can repack them or sell you new ones.. I put a used one on my trk and it broke..

X2 on the junkyard thing. Used springs are not a good idea.

If the perch is broken, they sell repair kits for it that bolt on where the old one was rivited in place. It is possible that you have a broken leaf like I do. I would highly recommend you replace both sides at the same time. There should be a company local to you that does springs.

For example, we have Valley Spring to the North and Island Spring to the south. 4 leaf or 3/1 springs go for about $124 a side and have a 1250# load rating (stock for my truck). They also sell 3 leaf springs or 2/1 with a lower load rating, either 850# or 1050# but I didn't get into specifics since I wanted to stay stock. The 2/1 springs were a little more expensive though...

junk yard interchange shows springs will fit your unit from 85 - 92... cost about $40 but I agree that used springs are not a good way to ... LMC truck also sells new spring perches $37.44 Page 118.. dealer wants $60.. check to see what the spring shop will charge to do complete job my buddie had both springs and perches done for $365.

I have a 1990 and had my rear springs re-arched by a local specialty spring shop. Done once at 70,000 miles and are still fine at 210,000 miles! I sometimes carry heavy loads and never have problems. Dave
