Shocks
My truck rides really stiff. Its got 158k miles on it and I think the shocks may be original, this is going to sound extremely newb, but could that be the problem? I'm looking to get new ones and am wondering what you guys recommend.
Note*This is probably in the wrong spot*

Re: Shocks
What type of shocks are you looking for? My 10 year old bilsteins that came with my truck are surprisingly smooth on the road, considering they are off road shocks. Especially with my 31's. Glides over pavement

Re: Shocks
Yes, that will definitely cause a rough ride. My shocks are done, and I'm pretty sure that they're the original ones. I have to creep over speed bumps and rough spots in the road.

But, I personally would get bilsteins. They have been around for a loonggg time, plus I've had nothing but good come out of mine. Paint has flaked off, starting to rust a little, but still work as good as new.

This is what came with my truck. I recommend this.
Bilstein (the cars that were equipped with them) came 1&2nd in the Rolex 24 hours of Daytona

Re: Shocks
You're probably right on the shocks, and yes, Bilstein's are fantastic, but make sure your keys aren't turned too much, that can definitely cause a stiff ride.

I got the rs5000's about 8 months ago and my trucks stiff as a highschool student who just saw his math teacher drop the chalk and is now bending over wearing a miniskirt.(paraphrased from demons quote on rf.net lol)
Please note, they were stiff as soon as I installed..

Not sure what you mean by this but not having 4x4 doesn't mean you can't lift your truck.
Rancho a are twin tube (im pretty sure) and bilsteins are mono. Monotubes hold more hydraulic oil and have bigger pistons for more control and comfort. That's why my truck feels like a caddy on and off road.
