Default popping sound from RF

ive searched and i cant find this anywhere. only when i am backing up and turning left out of a parking lot there is a popping sound and a very slight jerk coming from the right front. but only when the wheels are turned most of the way left. this has been happening ever since i bought the truck 37k miles ago.

put new bottom ball joints and sway bar links in 30k ago, new top ball joints and top a-arms about 2k ago, there is no play in the steering, tie rod ends are good.

im planning on taking a look this weekend if i dont have to work... any ideas on what else to look for?

yea. i didnt have the slick little tool to take them out so i took the arm out and down to my dads press and got the stock ball joints out and moog ones in. it wasnt too hard

ps all ball joints are moog with grease fittings that i grease every oil change

update: i changed oil and greased all the ball joints this past weekend. after that i put the jack stands under the a-arms as close to the wheels as possible. set the truck down on them. then i looked and shook everything as my dad turned the wheels both ways. nothing... i could not find any slop in anything. i could not get it to do it. all bushings are good. the rack is tight on the frame. i cannot find any cracks in the frame. but as i drove it, it still does it consistently...

wild idea...

what if one of the upper control arm bushings is loose, and it is sliding in/out. it's hard to tell without a torque wrench whether they are near specification

what your getting is brake chatter. replace the pads with a better quality pad and it will go away. good time to do rotors too.

Along the line of brake chatter, one of your pads could be missing it's anti-rattle clip.

i dont think its brake chatter or anti-rattle clip. its much more violent than that. the truck jumps slightly to the side and sounds like someone hit the frame with a dead blow hammer.

the top a-arm bushings are new and i tightened them very tight. like i said it did it before and didnt change after anything that ive done...
