Default 2002 ranger xlt flairside 4x4 4L Lift

I just bought a 2002 ford ranger xlt flairside 4x4 automatic 4L with 89000km, just looking at doing a lift and from what I have read the way to go is the 3" lift cheap or the 4" super lift for more $$$$$

Just wondering how difficult is it to install a body lift and will it require and extensions to cables or wiring etct ect ect.

I am 17 and this is my first vehicle and I do not know a terrible lot about suspension setups and installs so all the input and help would be much appreciated.

Thanks Derek

How's it going Derek....I'm 17 as well and I installed my body lift myself and it's not to bad when your body mount bolts are frozen and you have to heat them up and impact wrench them. But anyway you will not need extra wiring but you will need a steering extension and radiator drop brackets which most kits come with. Mine also came with bumper brackets to raise the front and back. Here are some pics of the steering extension and radiator drop. It's a fairly straight ford kit.

Well I got mine off eBay and it was from performance accessories and it was 200 because it was classified as damaged but nothing was damaged but the money was well worth it....but brand new is about 250
