I took a little side trip through a particularly muddy area the other day, and washed my truck and all of a sudden, bam! creaking front end over bumps and when turning the wheel.
once the video processes, it lets you hear the sound from the inside, from the outside it has the distinct metal on metal squeal of an ailing front end. My balljoints, and hell, my entire front end, for that matter, were in great shape last month when I put my exhaust on.
Can one trip across a muddy "road" take solid balljoints from smooth and quiet to both being shredded and noisy?
Since it was my first off road experience, I was taking great pains to keep it out of deep stuff and was only in the soggy mud, none of the blasting into mud pits at 35 that I love to watch. Im gonna be kinda irked if I have to slap new joints on it right before christmas. Ill try to get under her in the morning to get some pics.
