Default I have a Add a leaf question

i want to lift my rear up some more. it has a HUGE cali lean and i already have lift shackles set a 2inchs and its still racking. i want a little cali lean like a 1inch or so lower then the front. not 3inchs. now would any leaf spring i pull out of a truck at a j.y work? lets say a expo and i grab the small leaf on both sides then slide it in mine. would that work?

Yea, as long as they're 2.5" long and 2-3 inches shorter than your main leaf, you'll be fine. Stick with a leaf around .25-.5 inches thick. It'll give you about 1-2 inches of lift. You will need longer u-bolts too, remember that.

Dont ever re-use u-bolts. When torqued down properly, they stretch, in turn making them weak/brittle ones they are removed. You can never torque them down properly again. They WILL break and you'll be up shit creek.

Also, dont forget you'll need new center bolts.

oopps never saw this post from you ffparker. got them on yesterday. and the rear was redicoulsy high. look like it was matting season for the ranger lol so i took it down a inch on the shackles and it was still way to high. so i threw 7 sand bags in the rear. still way to high so i took the lift shackles off and put the stock shackles back on and it sits exactly where i wanted it. a little lower in the rear. i love the cali lean!! i can't sit in a truck that makes me feel like I'm leaning over the steering wheel.
