Longer wheel studs - remove wheels once you have the spacers and longer studs, knock out old studs, install new ones, add spacers and re-fit the wheels
Be carefull of too wide spacers, they can stuff up your wheel bearings

Would be easier and safer just to get a wider rim and tire

i've got a 10" wide rim with 3.75" backspace... so basically it sticks out 2" more than the 8" wide rim. that'd be better in my opinion.

you could also put a D44 TTB in from like an f150 if ya really wanted it to be wider, just a thought.

Most thicker spacers have built in studs, so you bolt the spacer onto your existing studs then bolt your wheels onto the spacer's studs. Those are the kind I'd use.

Also with a spindle lift the wheels will stick out further due to the shape of the spindle.

i've never heard anything good about wheel spacers i was looking into it and they end up causing more problems than they solve . . i got a wider wheel for mine and it looks good . . and if you were going to do wheels anyway i'd just do that

Default wheel spacers

sadly the downfall to wheel spacers is that they are a weak point and have a tendancy to break stuff. spindles are designed to handle a certain level of offset or simply leverage, you get too much leverage the wrong way and it breaks. it can break just the studs and your wheel falls off, or it can break the whole spindle...depends on what you do with it. i have seen the spindle itself snap due to a long travel suspension with wheel spacers used, mind you it was being abused at the time and had been for quite a few miles of hard jumping. if you plan on driving around dont worry about it, youll be fine, however if you plan on driving offroad, i wouldnt reccomend it. just my thoughts on it from personal experience.

so my question is simply, are you running fiberglass buldged fenders? if not its easy, 1.5 inch offset wheel will give you the same look. however if your running a buldge, usually they are 4.5 per side, that means a spacer wont come close. since you already understand a spacer can cause a weak point.....save some dough and buy the longtravel kit!

Yea whats a long travel kit?

This is interesting for me too as i want to fit my 31.10.5'.15 in the next few weeks, and was thinking of a 30mm spacer, i have the buldged fenders on mine and want to keep them on!

I think you also get what you pay for, i know a chap on ebay that is selling spacers for 180, thats a lot of money but he assures me they are NOT the same as the cheap japanese ones for 40, so the ones that we hear about snapping off and causing problems are no doubt inferior cheap crap ones that are no never really meant to be used on a truck!

The ones I am looking at are designed for heavy duty vehicles and are made to last.
