Improving Turning Radius?
I've always wondered if there was a way to improve the turning radius of a ranger. maybe using a different suspension system (like out of a jeep wrangler maybe?) from a vehicle with better turning radius?
The idea would be something with a more stock or light lifted truck, nothing extreme. Though, improving the radius would be good not just for parking lots, but any off roading if it was needed, more a rounded truck not specific to on road or off road.
This isn't a current project so money isn't a concern, just looking for ideas or thoughts if something is possible. Or if anyone had possibly even done something like this before.

Re: Improving Turning Radius?
No, I was thinking more like how for example a jeep wrangler can make a very sharp circle turn, or u turn, where as a ranger would have to make at least a 3 point turn or turn in a wider area.
at full lock the ranger can't make a very tight circle, was looking for a way to improve it. even if that meant using the suspension from a different vehicle

will never be able to turn like a wrangler...wheelbase has everything to do with turning radius...i think the ranger has a very good turning radius

Re: Improving Turning Radius?
the 98+ style suspension does not turn as sharp as my TTB ranger. fwiw. Also, you could power brake it to get the rear end going, or dump the clutch, then whip it around, aint gonna get much tighter than that!

6 point turn FTW!

Re: Improving Turning Radius?
Yeah, that was what I thought, but I figured it was worth looking into.
